Always wanted to sing? Here's your chance! Suitable for shy and inexperienced singers as well as born performersour SING sessions give everyone the confidence to enjoy singing with others.
This warm and friendly group offers lively sessions for adults who love to sing. Weexplores a variety of music including musical theatre, pop, gospel, light classical and world song. Sessions are lead byprofessional tutor Rebecca McGarvie who teaches vocal technique, harmony, improvisation, musicianship and provides the opportunity for solo work. The group take part in games, exercises and rehearsals which gradually prepare members for the opportunity to perform as part of the Academy.
The SING grouptake part in a number of different events over the term. We have social nights, meals out and take part in performances. We hold welcome sessions at the start of each term for new members to meet the group and be introduced to the sessions.
