Theatre for children and young people

Open to all those aged 8- 16. Voluntary assistant roles available for those aged 16+.
New members are invited to attend two welcome weeks at a cost of £10 to try the group. This terms welcome weeks are Wednesday 16th and 23rd September for Theatre Arts.
Fees are paid on a monthly basis at £25 per month by cheque or standing order. Sibling discounts apply.
Darlington Arts Academy Theatre Arts Group offers weekly sessions which provide the opportunity to learn about all aspects of performing arts. Sessions focus on singing, dance and drama on a weekly basis however additional workshops throughout the year provide an opportunity to try new things, learn diverse skills and enhance performance techniques. Members are able to explore all aspects of Theatre Arts including costume, set design, technical theatre, photography and film production.
The group attends a variety of events throughout the year and takes part in a performance each term. Our Wednesday group will be taking part in the Academy Christmas concert and will soon start rehearsing for a spectacular full scale musical for Spring 2010 at Hummersknott School.
NEW SATURDAY SCHOOL We will be launching a new group later in the Autumn on Saturday mornings at Hummersknott School. Contact us as soon as possible to book at place on our waiting list!
